Lisa and Sara Jo’s April Obsession: Eric Heist
We love these new works by Eric Heist so much we wanted to share them with you.
These seductive and unassuming gouaches depict the remains of the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Devoid of people, the landscapes present urban areas reclaimed by nature, often with only a foundation remaining, presenting a literal platform for potential. They express individual feelings of powerlessness and invisibility focused through public tragedy and struggle.
